小鳥 Birds (In Chinese & English)

「這些事以後，我觀看，見有一大群人，沒有人能數得過來，是從各邦國、各支派、各民族、各方言來的。他們都站在寶座和羊羔面前，身穿白袍，手裡拿著棕樹枝。」啟 7:9

下雨了，一群小鳥在大葉下避雨。鳥的種類繁多，每隻外觀、大小、特性、性情都不一樣的，卻和諧的聚在一起，畫面看來何等的安靜，處處孕育着生機，充斥着大自然被雨水洗滌、清新的味道。

我聯想到來自五湖四海的人們，在神的吸引和召命下來到祂的跟前聚居。主裡面不分種族、言語、邊界、年齡、政治及社會經濟背景，人能夠存同求異，沒有因差異而相拒或產生爭執，反而欣賞彼此的不同和互補彼此的不足。現在聽來好像天方夜譚，就算是主內群體也未必能同心啊。但神正在一點一點的工作，當我聽到來自彼此衝突國家的基督徒在戰爭中一起敬拜神，本來強烈的敵意被神的愛溶化，在我們心裡安置這份的希望：有一天，萬國萬民都要在神的裡面永遠地和睦同居。

A huge leaf has become shelter for a group of birds of different kinds. They vary in colour, size, physical traits, preferences, and personalities, and yet they gather together in peace, harmony and order. This scene is filled with tranquility, vibrance of life, with a refreshing scent of rain and the feeling of cleanliness.

This reminds me that God draws people from every nation to Himself. In Christ, we are one, regardless of our ethnicity, language, borders, age, political opinions, and sociocultural background. It will be a beautiful sight when our differences do not draw us apart, but instead are appreciated, and when people work together to complement one another’s weaknesses.

Now it may seem impossible – complete unity is rarity even within individual churches. Yet God is working in our midst. When I hear news of Christians from countries in conflict worshiping fervently as one, even during war, I am in awe of how the love of God melts away hostility and bring about reconciliation. This give us hope that one day every nation will reside with God, united in His love.
