平靜風浪 He calmed the storm (w/ English translation)

耶穌平靜風浪，一方面讓門徒經歷到祂是掌管一切的神，連超乎掌控的風浪也要聽他的命令。另一方面，這場風浪似乎也反映了那惡者不住地難阻耶穌行父神的旨意，試圖阻礙祂到格拉森，施行醫治與拯救。

然而，耶穌帶著門徒勝過了危險，平安的來到格拉森人面前，救他脫離了魔鬼的捆綁。鬼進入了豬群，約有二千頭豬衝下山崖，淹死在海裡，經濟損失以現金價值估計，可能達到百萬之多。

但耶穌所挽回的，是這個人的一生。祂使這個本來黑暗又滿佈傷痕的生命，變得光彩有活力。這人已受苦多時，神雖然沒有立即回應，但神從未停止聽見他的痛苦。到了時候，耶穌竟親自來到格爾森，這件事帶出了這個道理：一個人的生命、甚至是被眾人離棄、被看為無價值的生命，在神眼中看為極其寶貴，非用任何金錢能夠衡量。為了拯救一個人，耶穌甚至冒着生命危險，也要親自來到他的身邊，把他從黑暗捆綁中拯救出來。

這讓我回想起一次可怕的住院經歷，床邊的老奶奶動不動就尖叫，我心裏非常害怕，心想為何要入院經歷皮肉和心靈的苦。後來我慢慢欣賞到這位老奶奶的可愛。其中一夜，我睡不着覺，她找我聊天。我跟她談到主耶穌，並且邀請一起作禱告，她竟然答應了！我心裏開朗起來，突然感到若我受這些苦是為了與她相遇，讓她認識耶穌多一點，都是值得的。神很愛老奶奶，縱使我—祂心愛的女兒 -- 受了苦，祂也願意我學習在當中一點點的用舉動祝福別人，從中嘗到甘甜。從那時起，我開始明白到受苦的意義，亦了解到一個人靈魂得救在神的眼裏多麼的寶貴。

  The fact that Jesus calmed the storm reveals, on one hand, that He is our sovereign God. Even the waves that are beyond human control must obey Him. On the other hand, It reflects how opposing forces are seemingly at work to hinder Jesus from carrying out His Father’s will. I see it as an attempt to disrupt Jesus’ journey and to prevent Him from reaching the other side to bring deliverance. Yet Jesus is victorious, and together with His disciples, arrived safety in Gerasenes, where He set the man free from the bondage of the impure spirits.

Jesus transformed this man’s life and gave him a new purpose: to share God’s work as a living testimony. Meanwhile, the economic loss of the herds of pigs, which ran down the hillside and drown in the lake, possibly worth millions in today’s standards. This reflects how a person’s worth in God’s eyes is beyond monetary measures. To consider that Jesus was willing to endure the danger of the storm, to risk their lives and the fear and trauma that accompanied it, all to save this one person!
